The Origins

Showcase Network was launched in 2022 as the flagship entertainment network of Happy Moon Entertainment Networks, LLC. The idea was simple: build a destination for beloved, time-tested television — the courtroom dramas, cult sci-fi, weekend films, and weekday cartoons that generations of viewers grew up watching.

Rather than producing original content at launch, Showcase respectfully acquired its programming through licensing agreements with major studios and distributors. This approach allowed the network to deliver a rich, recognizable schedule from day one — Judge Mathis, Stargate SG-1, Seinfeld, The Twilight Zone, Rugrats, and dozens of other titles — while building the audience, infrastructure, and brand that would anchor the Happy Moon portfolio for years to come.

The Showcase Philosophy

Every hour of Showcase's day is a block — and every block has a voice. Court Block in the afternoon. Showcase Cartoon Block for the kids in the morning. Showcase Sci-Fi Mashup in the evening. The 508 Weekend Films on Saturday nights. Action Spike and Showcase Suspense bookend the weekends.
